Visit from Japan at the AdMaS Center
On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, representatives of NOHARA from Japan visited the AdMaS Center. Together with them, representatives of Saint Gobain, with whom AdMaS cooperates, arrived.
Nohara Co., LTD. is one of the traditional family Japanese companies. It was founded in 1947 in Tokyo. Its main activity is the distribution of building materials. It also deals with the design and realization of interiors. Nohara owns a road marking plant and is one of the most important brand names in Asia. The company's headquarters are in Tokyo, there are 27 branches in Japan and another 7 branches located in overseas Asia. Nohara has 706 employees and has an annual turnover of $ 8.5 billion.
During the visit, the Director, JUDr. Ing. Zdeňek Dufek, Ph.D. introduced the AdMaS Center and its history and concept. Prof. Ing. Jan Kudrna, CSc. introduced the ongoing research focusing on reinforcement glass fiber lattices.
There also was a tour of the P2 and P1 buildings, which, judging by the reactions of the guests, was successful. Particularly in the traffic engineering laboratory, the excursion often went through a lively debate on the use of reinforcing geogrids in road construction.
